Testimonials

Dear Bark Avenue Pet Supply,

After visiting two different holistic vets, my Golden Retriever,
Cassidy still had no relief from a chronic skin condition. He
literally had crusty lesions from head to feet. On a 100 pound dog,
that’s a big area! His belly was very red and of course he’d
scratch until bloody.

Because of my belief in a holistic approach, I declined steroid
shots. I’d heard about Nzymes from Bark Avenue Pet Supply, and
figured I’d nothing to lose. My baby was suffering!

After working with the knowledgeable staff at Bark Ave, and adhering
to the advice about diet change, as well as, following the Nzymes
protocol, I began to notice some improvement after a month’s time.
Seven months later Cassidy was free and clear of any symptoms.

It has been three years, and he has had no reoccurrence. I still to
this day use Ox-E-Drops in the water dishes for all my dogs.

Thank you Nzymes!!!

Dear Bark Avenue Pet Supply,

I am writing to tell you of my dog, Casey’s remarkable recovery from a skin condition using the Nzymes' products.  Casey is a 4 year old white German Shepherd/lab mix.  She is a “rescue” dog and as a puppy spent the better part of her first year on and off antibiotics for a host of different conditions. However, by the time she had her second birthday, Casey had overcome her problems and seemed to be very healthy. That was until of March, 2009.

On March 23, 2009, I took Casey to the vet.  She had  been scratching herself for just over a week and her beautiful white coat had begun to thin so much that the skin on her legs and belly was visible. Her skin color was pink to red, she was restless and unable to sit in one spot comfortably for any length of time without licking or scratching herself. The vet diagnosed her with a staph infection and put her on a course of prednisone and antibiotics.

Over the course of 2 weeks, Casey improved and was taken off the prednisone but continued on a course of daily antibiotics for a few weeks more and then was instructed to”pulse” the meds  taking them on Saturdays and Sundays only.

This went on until June. During this time Casey would begin to clear up but every two to three weeks she would aggravate so severely that the vet would put her back on a daily dose of antibiotics and often times restart the prednisone. It was about this time I began to wonder about the continued use of the antibiotics and if maybe we should be taking a nutritional approach to this problem. I mentioned my concern to the vet who felt the protocol was fine but wanted to explore the possibility of food allergies. So, in mid June, Casey started a strict diet of  rabbit and potato while continuing on the antibiotics. The diet was to last a full 10 weeks and no other food to be fed to her.

Casey did very well on the diet but the skin affliction still continued in the same pattern…improved for two weeks then an aggravation. Each time, we increased frequency of antibiotics until the symptoms subsided.

In the third week of August, Casey was scheduled for her recheck and was supposed to start the next phase of the food allergy protocol.  However, it seems she had found a dog biscuit that our other dog had hidden away several days before her appointment and before I could take it from her, she ate it.  The vet advised me that the ten week test had been nullified and that we would have to start all over again.

It was then I decided to start researching a nutritional therapy for Casey.  After some on line research, I found Bark Avenue and you, Elizabeth.  Your expertise of the Nzymes product is excellent and your suggestion that I call the company with further questions led me to eventually speak with Nzymes’ Director of Research.  He was such a huge help answering all my questions and even offering additional health information which helped me to determine Casey had developed yeast infection which was being exacerbated by the continual use of antibiotics.

Casey discontinued the antibiotics and started the Nzymes program on August 26, 2009.  Within four days, her itching and licking had almost stopped.  By September 14th, her appearance was 75% improved; the skin on her belly had turned from red/pink to black ; a sign that the yeast infection was healing.  Her fur was beginning to grow back and her restlessness was gone.  In addition, her disposition was improving.  She was becoming more energetic and playful; very much like she used to be before this ordeal began in March.

Since September, Casey has steadily improved and she is back to her old self.  This has been such a remarkable journey and it goes to prove that antibiotics are not always the answer.  Sometimes better nutrition is what the doctor should order.

Casey and I truly appreciate all your assistance.

Best regards,

Dee Babicke

In general conversation with a co-worker, I mentioned
a health issue with one of my 2 Maltese-Cockers;
brothers, 9 years old, same litter.
He chewed up one of his paws - raw and hairless overnight.
We had spent over $600 in Vet fees, pills, lotions, sprays,
laser treatments, and that ever lovely E collar. 2 1/2
months and nothing helped but the collar.

My co-worked told me about a great new line of
products sold at Bark Avenue Pet Supply - Whole Dog Daily
and EVO dog food.

Bark Avenue Pet Supply advertised a speaker -
Tom O'Leary ... very interesting, informative and knowledgeable.
(O'Leary is with Green Dog Naturals, maker of Whole Dog Daily.)

I purchased the EVO dog food and the Whole Dog Daily
powdered supplement. Within a week we took the E collar off,
within 2 months all his hair grew back.

I have changed the diet of my dogs and a new Vet,
one they rarely see these days.

Thanks Bark Avenue Pet Supply - Thanks Tom O'Leary

Much Gratitude,
